Motorcycle turn signal does not light up and the horn does not sound

Release Time:2020-07-31 05:14:33 View:8559

Motorcycle turn signals and horns are electrical equipment for safe driving on and off of motorcycles. They all need to pass through the battery, fuse, corresponding switches and wires, and can work normally after closing the switch to form a loop.
Most modern motorcycles have a negative ground-the negative pole of the motorcycle battery is reliably connected to the frame, and the frame is the negative pole.

According to this idea, use a motorcycle bulb (10W~20W) with two lead wires as a "detection lamp" to perform the following tests, which are practical and more convenient and accurate than a multimeter (the high sensitivity of the multimeter's voltage file is not convenient for identifying switch contacts. unpleasant sight):

1- First connect one lead of the light to the metal part of the motorcycle frame or the negative electrode of the battery, and use the other lead to contact both ends of the fuse, and both can light up to indicate that the battery and the fuse are normal; if one end is on, the battery is normal. The fuse is damaged; the battery is not bright.

2- After the previous step is normal, set the motorcycle ignition switch to the on position, and use another wire to contact the two contacts of the ignition switch (different brands and models are different, but the ignition switch must have an input terminal connected to the positive electrode of the battery and The output terminal leading to the electrical appliance) is normal if it can be lit; the ignition switch is damaged if one end is lit.

3- After the previous step is normal, connect the other lead to the two ends of the flash relay. Normally, one end of the lead is always flashing and the other end flashes (otherwise the flash relay is damaged, one end of the flash relay is connected to the output end of the ignition switch, and the other end is connected to the steering The moving point of the light switch). Then check the three end points of the turn signal switch (the other two ends are connected to the left and right turn lights, etc.). The principle is the same as the above, and the corresponding treatment will be done according to the results-change the flashing relay, turn signal switch or turn signal bulb.

4-Speaker detection (for electromagnetic horns with contacts in common use). Because the two terminals of the horn are directly the output end of the ignition switch, the other end is connected to the frame (the negative electrode of the battery) through the horn switch. At this time, the other wire of the "detection lamp" is used to contact the two ends of the horn, one end is on, the other end It is not too bright (it is more obvious when the lamp power is high, because it is connected in series with the horn electromagnet coil). At this time, use a wire to connect the not too bright end to the frame (the negative electrode of the battery), and the horn should sound. Then check whether the wire from the end point that is not too bright to the horn switch and the horn switch is faulty, and deal with it accordingly. Generally, the electromagnetic horn does not sound, and the following two situations may usually occur. One is the improper adjustment of the adjusting screw on the horn; the other is the phenomenon that the horn shell touches the frame, causing the horn to receive undue external force and lose the electromagnetic vibration sound. The fixing method of the horn has a great influence on its pronunciation. In order to make the sound of the horn normal, the horn cannot be installed rigidly, so it is fixed on the buffer bracket, that is, a leaf spring or rubber pad should be installed between the horn and the fixed bracket.
